My cruise to the Western Caribbean was on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.  The itinerary was intended to be as follows:

This cruise turned into a 10 day cruise due to Hurricane Jeanne passing through Florida.  The cruise line was trying to get us into the Miami port and get us off of the water prior to the hurricane hitting the coast and ship us back to Port Canaveral by shuttle.  At 5:00 a.m. we reached the mouth of the port only to have the Coast Guard close the port and send us back out to sea.  Our ship was too large to fit under the Skyway Bridge in Tampa, so we circled for 3 days in the Florida Straights in 20 ft. seas waiting on the hurricane to pass over.  It gives a whole new meaning to the words "Sea Sickness"!!!
